carefree and spirited.

Up until last week we hadn't spent much time hanging out with Christel (joel's sister) and her new husband. But let me tell you, they know how to have fun! No matter what we were doing they made it exciting/interesting. Even if it was climbing up a random building in Boulder. Joel and I took some loosen up and have fun lessons from them. Seriously, we are so boring compared to them.

So here we are. Kissing in the forest. You know, trying to be fun and free and full of energy like our sister and brother in law :)

Our perfect Saturday. Boulder Farmer's Market.

Just call me granny.

My sparse blog posts and limited time spent returning phone calls can only be explained by the fact that I took up a hobby. A very time consuming hobby. One that makes me ignore even my most favorite tv shows. One that sometimes even annoys my very patient and understanding husband.

Knitting. One stitch at a time. Creating things that make me happy. Things that my most favorite 1 year old can wear.

You can bet your bottom dollar he'll be wearing this sweater on every cool night I can possibly justify.

I love knitting.

He'll grow into it :)

home is our haven.

Crazy fun we have had the last few weeks. Tired now, but as always, it was worth it. We made a last minute decision to drive to omaha and then on to minneapolis. Yes, we are crazy. But we love our family and needed some time with the grandparents. The first leg of the trip to Omaha was a doozy. We then wised up and borrowed my brothers portable dvd player. Dream come true. Veggie tales is still playin a tune in my head. I learned a lot about how to entertain a 1 year old while keeping him strapped down to the seat. If he got fussy I simply sang along with bob and larry, or opened the windows to blur out the screaming. The crowd pleaser though was throwing tennis balls at daddy while he was driving. That seemed to do the trick every time. Oh well. We made it there and back. And it was worth it.

Getting ready to leave.

Jeff and Jenn's Shower!
Such pretty scenery to celebrate their upcoming big day. Notice the wheelbarrow of gifts.

Uncle Blake.

Twin Cities.
Glad to be with auntie and uncle

Como Zoo
Joel and I miss the cities as people call it. After all, we fell in love there....So many happy memories. Grandma and Grandpa make it quite fun to go back and visit though. They took a few days off work so we could all enjoy being together. And enjoy we did. Joel and I even got an afternoon to ourselves.

LOVE.

Cuteness.

Cheese!

aaand back in Omaha.

I wish Jack could enjoy the horses everyday. Not to mention the birds and trees. Poor kid, it's like he's never seen a bird before. Chases them everywhere. Maybe this weekend we can plant a tree.

And the morning after that, was it. Back home in Colorful Colorado. Flowers are still alive and everything still smells like home. Thank goodness.
