Butternut

Baby food batch #1 done. So easy, healthy, and cheap! I actually kind of enjoyed making it. Felt like a science experiment. :)

Swaddle Me

I seriously think I might have to swaddle Jackson for naptime and bedtime until he's like 5. I started thinking yesterday that this is getting a little ridiculous. He's 6 months now...probably ready to move about in his crib and not be tied down with a velcro swaddle blanket. So I tried it today. Not going so well :) He has woken up 3 times from his morning nap ready to play, play, play. Cant wait to pull the swaddle blanket out of the dryer so I can start using it again. I wonder why he likes it so much?

7.16.09

So here we are. Six months old today! I truly cant believe all the amazing emmotions these past few months have brought us. So thankful and filled with love for this little boy. I never get tired of his smile...even when it's at 5 am. Before I had Jackson I wondered if I would get tired and annoyed playing with baby toys all day and having my living room invaded by huge mobile contraptions. But honestly...it's amazing. Dont get me wrong, it will be great to throw the swing and excersaucer in the basement someday, but for now Im cherishing the sound and sight of it all. It has gone by so fast!
Sitting!---with the boppy, just in case :)

Wanna play with me?

relaxin.

Never seems to get tired of this.

Eating EVERYTHING :)
But some things dont taste so good.

Just messing around... A video for the Grandma's.

we wash our hands a lot lately.

Until recently, Jackson and Dillon have hardly noticed eachother. Just a few days ago though I noticed Jack reaching out his hand to pet Dillon. My heart melted. Im glad we didnt give up on Dillon during the whole newborn stage. I think he found a new best friend...

There and Back.

Family time in northern minnesota.

Last week was amazing. Just as expected. The first few days started out a little cold, but by mid week the bathing suits came out of our suitcases and we were able to enjoy the lake. Jackson has totally warmed up to being in the arms of pretty much anyone we give him to. Such a relief. Sand in our toes....

Jackson's first boat ride. Also one of the first times he has ever just sat and relaxed for more than a few minutes....(while being awake that is)

Lawn Bowling

My favorite.

Jackson will definately be mad at me someday for making him wear this hat.

Love this picture.

I miss my brothers.

So glad we could see Jen too!

A few days spent in the cities for Sarah and Caleb's shower. Only one more month till the big day! We cant wait...

Such a fun week...Now we are just trying to get used to a quiet house and Joel back at work.
