More unpacking! It seems like the boxes are never ending....but I think we are close. Joel and I spent the day unpacking the boxes I have been neglecting in the basement. Woohoo for a very fun Saturday.

Dad.

It's kind of funny how it works. Jackson's fussy time is right about when Joel opens the garage door to come home from work. I've read that babies often have a time of crying in the evening, but never really knew it to be true until now...Poor Joel :) A long day of work only to come home to the innocent cries of a baby. It's not as bad as I make it sound...it really only lasts about an hour....I just think it's sort of funny and ironic-the timing of it. Here are some pics of Jackson with dad. After the crying has subsided.

Getting ready to start the day...

In spite of the fact that Jackson does not sleep for very long at night he still is happy when he wakes up in the morning. I guess he has no idea how the night went....and I quickly forget Ive been pooped on and spit up on just hours before:) Not kidding....He did sleep in his own room though for the first time last night. Quit a big step for me. Im used to hearing his every move, but it was nice not to have to tip toe to the bathroom in the middle of the night:) At least that is what Joel says.
We also enjoyed our first day of playing outside. It was 65 degrees here today! Jackson didnt do much playing though. He mostly just slept in my arms.

Doctor Appointment

Jackson had his second doctor appointment today. He is 5 weeks old already! His weight is 10 lbs. 12 oz. and his height is 23 inches. He grew tons this past month...We are now back at home and I'm pondering how anyone ever gets their baby on a schedule....it seems like he naps at a different time each day.

Hello to the world of blogging...

Today we went to church and sat in the baby sky box. It always feels so good to get out of the house! Jackson was being so good in his infant seat...sitting there very quietly when all of a sudden he farted so loud it sounded like it could have come from Joel or I. We tried to laugh so that those sitting around us would know it somehow came from our tiny baby. The first of many embarrassments as a parent!

The Beginning.

We thought this would be a good way to keep our family and friends up to date!
